Terms of Use
These cover this website and the free tools on it. They are not the terms of any work we do for you — that lives in a written agreement, because it should.
Last updated 30 July 2026.
Using the site
Read it, use the tools, quote from it with attribution. What you may not do is scrape it wholesale, republish it as your own, or use it to attack anything — including using the audit tool against sites in order to overload them.
The free tools
The audit and comparison tools request the public homepage of an address you provide and report what they find. Three things follow from that:
- They are provided as they are, with no warranty. A score is a measurement of specific technical checks, not a judgment of a business.
- They read only what any visitor can read. They do not attempt to access anything private, and they identify themselves in the request.
- Use them on sites you own or have a legitimate interest in. Rate limits apply and are not an invitation to work around them.
Nothing either tool reports is a guarantee about search rankings. Nobody controls Google’s results, and we have written about why.
The Ocala Web Report
The research on this site may be quoted and cited freely, including by press and by other agencies, provided the sample size and date are quoted with the figures. We ask that because a number from a 27-site sample repeated without its denominator becomes a claim we did not make.
What is ours
The writing, design and code on this site are ours. Product and company names belong to their owners, and naming them here is description, not endorsement or affiliation.
Advice on these pages
The guidance published here is general. Several pages touch on regulated areas — legal advertising, healthcare privacy, financial promotion — and in every case they describe the constraint and then say the determination belongs to your own compliance counsel. That is not a formality. It is the actual position.
Liability
We take care to be accurate and we do not accept liability for loss arising from acting on general guidance published here without advice specific to your situation. If we are doing paid work for you, that relationship is governed by our written agreement, not by this page.
